Stay connected for news and updates

The Texas Longhorns blew a 10-point halftime lead, or if you prefer the Baylor Bears overcame a 10-point halftime deficit to win 77-72. Baylor outscored Texas 51 to 36 in the second half to get a much needed win.

In the second half Baylor kept chipping away at Texas' lead and finally took their first lead of the second half when Perry Jones III hit a jumper with 7:03 left in the game to give Baylor a 56-55 lead. Baylor then took the lead for good when Quincy Acy made a layup to give Baylor a 67-65 lead with 3:37 left in the game.

Texas had a chance to win the game but J'Covan Brown, who scored 18 to lead Texas, had a critical turnover with 12 seconds left that prevented Texas from shooting for a tie. Baylor's Pierre Jackson hit a pair of free throws to seal the win.
