A Baylor win on Saturday would send shockwaves through the college football landscape.
After Alabama's loss to Texas A&M last Saturday, the eyes of the college football world will be on Waco this week, as No. 1 Kansas State tries to keep their dreams of an undefeated season, and a BCS national title, alive.
They'll be -10 point road favorites against a 4-5 Baylor team with a lot on the line as well. If the Bears lose to the Wildcats, they'll need to win their last two games (a Cowboys Stadium date with Texas Tech and a home game against Oklahoma State) in order to become bowl eligible.
It will be a contrast in styles on Saturday, as Baylor tries to outscore teams with a high-powered offense (7th in the country) while Kansas State tries to grind out victories with a strong running game and a fundamentally sound defense.
The Bears defense, ranked 118th in the country, has been their undoing this season and they'll be tested heavily by Heisman front-runner Collin Klein, a 6'5 225 battering ram who can beat teams through the air and the ground.
The oddsmakers, at least, expect a shoot-out, as they've set the over/under for the game at 74.
