A 35-yard touchdown pass from Landry Jones to Justin Brown with 26 seconds left in the half gave the Oklahoma Sooners a 28-17 halftime lead over the Baylor Bears Saturday. Just 40 seconds earlier Baylor had cut the deficit to 4 points.
Baylor trailed 14-3 after the first quarter, but a rushing touchdown by Nick Florence made the score 14-10 with 10 minutes to go in the second. Oklahoma scored on a run by Damien Williams with 6:40 left in the quarter, but Baylor struck back with a touchdown by Lache Seastrunk with 59 seconds remaining before halftime.
Brown's touchdown was set up by a 35-yard kickoff return that put the Sooners in good field position.
Jones is 17 for 25 for 210 yards and two touchdowns in the first half. Florence is 5 for 13 passing for 73 yards and he has rushed for 37 yards for Baylor.
Oklahoma has 304 yards of total offense. Baylor has 182 yards.
