In a sign of how far the Baylor Bears program has come under Art Briles, three Baylor seniors -- WR Kendall Wright, RB Terrance Ganaway and C Philip Blake -- will play in the Jan. 28 Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama.
For all but the most elite prospects, the Senior Bowl, and the week-long practices before it, is an invaluable opportunity for college players to showcase their games to NFL scouts in advance of the draft.
Wright, after a record-breaking senior season where he caught 108 balls for 1,663 yards and 14 TD's, will have to prove to scouts that his size (5'10 190) won't affect him in press-and-run coverage against bigger CB's on the next level.
Ganaway, meanwhile, will try to show that his break-out senior year, where he rushed for 1,547 yards and 21 TD's, was not just a product of the defensive attention paid to Heisman winner Robert Griffin III.
Blake, a 6'3 315 center who has excelled in Waco since transferring from a junior college, will have the chance to boost his draft stock in one-on-one drills with some of the best interior defensive lineman in the country.
