Perry Jones III scored 27 points and grabbed eight rebounds in his first action of the year to lead Baylor past Prairie View A&M 90-54.
After sitting out the first five games due to an NCAA mandated suspension, Baylor's Perry Jones III made his season debut in the Bears' 90-54 victory over Prairie View A&M. Jones made up for lost time in his first game of the season finishing with 27 points and eight rebounds.
Baylor fell behind by eight points in this one before Jones scored his first bucket of the night. The Bears righted the ship in time to lead the Panthers 46-24 at halftime.
Jones hit 10 of 14 shots from the floor and was 7 of 9 from the charity stripe. He also recorded a steal and a block for the Bears who move to 6-0 on the season. Pierre Jackson added 17 points while Quincy Acy and Cory Jefferson finished with 13 and 12 respectively.
Montreal Scott scored 14 points to lead Prairie View A&M and Jules Montgomery added 13 points and 11 rebounds. The Panthers fall to 2-6 on the season.
