Baylor Vs. South Carolina State Score: Bears Lead Bulldogs 33-28 At The Half

Baylor jumped out to an early lead but South Carolina State is hanging tough trailing 33-28 at halftime at the Rerrell Center in Waco. 

Anthony Jones scored 13 first half points to lead all scorers on 6-9 shooting. A.J. Walton has five points and three assists for the Bears. Freshman Quincy Miller has three points at halftime and is 1-4 from the field in the first half. Baylor shot just under 47 percent from the field in the opening half. 

South Carolina State used a 20-16 rebounding advantage including nine offensive boards to keep things close in the first half. The Bulldogs are shooting just 35 percent but used the extra opportunities to remain within striking distance. Brandon Riley leads the way with eight points but had a cold shooting half going 2-10. Omar Sanders finished with seven points and Presano Bell has seven rebounds in the game thus far.
