The first AP Poll of the season is going to be released on Saturday at 9 a.m. local time, and the big question is where Texas and TCU be ranked when the first batch of rankings are made public.

A good place to start would be the Coaches' Poll, where the Texas Longhorns were picked at No. 15 while the No. 17 spot belonged to TCU. There usually isn't much disparity between the two polls, so fans can expect to be in the ballpark of their coach's ratings.

Another gauge is the SB Nation Studios Top 25 Countdown, which has TCU as the No. 11 team in the nation heading in to the 2012 season with the Longhors coming in at No. 13.

Of course there is no perfect way to gauge the media poll before it is released, but all signs point to the Horned Frogs and Longhorns beginning the season in the Top 20.

The Dallas Cowboys will take on the San Diego Chargers in their second preseason game Saturday night at Qualcomm Stadium, as the team looks to find their offensive rhythm after an ugly 3-0 win over the Oakland Raiders back on Monday.

The defense will be without DeMarcus Ware, who is sitting out the game with a hamstring injury. The injury is not considered serious, so it is being done more as a precautionary measure.

The first-team offense and defense will be expected to take more reps, which should lead to more progress on the offensive side of the ball.

These two teams met in the preseason in 2011, with San Diego winning, 20-7.

The pressure is mounting on the Dallas Cowboys entering the 2012 season, as owner Jerry Jones repeatedly said the window is closing on the Cowboys' chance to win a championship with the current group of players.

In an interview with NFL.com, he expressed his frustrations over the 2011 season, calling it the 'most disappointing' in his time owning the team.

"Last year was the most disappointing year for me in my 24 years," Jones said. "We had the goods. We had the quarterback, he had the season. We were positioned, in my mind, to go further and really make a run at it."

There was no question that the team's 8-8 finish was a very disappointing way to finish the 2011 season, given the hype surrounding the team. Further adding insult to the team's 2-4 record against division opponents.

Jones in the article, however, expresses he has confidence in the team's ability to win games and be a Super Bowl contender in 2012.
