With the departure of Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III to the NFL, Baylor quarterback Nick Florence had some huge shoes to fill this season. Luckily for Florence, he had already had experience stepping in for Griffin III in the past, so this was not something new.

Florence has helped ease the loss of Griffin III so far, racking up gaudy passing stats and leading Baylor to a 3-1 record. The senior quarterback has passed for 1,585 yards and 16 touchdowns, completing 63.7 percent of his passes along the way. Baylor currently leads the nation in passing with 416.5 yards per game.

Florence has come a long way since being recruited to Baylor as a three-star quarterback from South Garland High School in Texas. After an up-and-down freshman campaign that saw him start seven games due to injuries to Griffin III and Blake Szymanski, Florence saw limited time over the course of the next two seasons.

But now that the reins are his, Florence has taken full control of the explosive Baylor offensive attack. Although the Bears lost their last game to West Virginia, Florence threw for a ridiculous 581 yards and five scores.

Florence will look to continue his torrid start this Saturday against TCU. The Horned Frogs have allowed just 13.2 points per game, but they did give up 37 points last week to Iowa State.

The Dallas Cowboys running game has struggled to get going all season, and according to Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis, there's little chance that changes when the two teams face each other this Sunday in Baltimore (via The Dallas Morning News):

"They can look to do whatever they want to do, but it ain't going to be what they think it's going to be," Lewis said.

When Cowboys fullback Lawrence Vickers was told of the brash statement, he fired back with some words of his own:

"That's just the way he feels. I don't remember him being a Houdini or anything like that. He's entitled to his own opinion. And if that's how he feels, that's cool, too. Kudos to him."

Vickers, who has a history playing against Lewis, went on to say that he's always ready for every challenge and that big names like Lewis do not scare him.

The Cowboys currently average a paltry 67.8 yards on the ground, which checks in at 29th in the NFL. DeMarco Murray leads the team with just 237 yards rushing, and Felix Jones is next in line with a measly 13 yards for the season.

Meanwhile, the Ravens have not been all that stout against the run, giving up 118.4 yards per game. That's good for just 20th in the NFL. They were gouged for 214 rushing yards last week in their 9-6 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
