The NHL lockout doesn't look likely to end anytime soon and we finally know why -- the lawyers don't know how to subtract.

I have consulted my six-year-old cousin, who can confirm that 10 minus three is seven. She also agreed that 30 minus 23 is seven (it took her a while and she tried using her fingers for a while, but she's six so give her a break).

I'm sure they'll do fine trying to figure out how to divide the billions in revenues and whether it will be net or gross. Settling on a revenue sharing system will be a piece of cake too. But that 30 minus seven, that's a tricky one.
