Chuck Morgan Thanks Rangers Fans For Three Million Season

As of tonight, for the first time in franchise history, the Texas Rangers will hit the three million (3,000,000) mark in attendance.

Last year, it seemed like this would be likely at some point in the near future if the Rangers kept winning and the weather got just a tiny bit less oppressive. It was extremely obvious early on it was coming in 2012. Yet, still, it is amazing to think about when it finally happens. Three million! Fans! People! In seats! Not in New York!

Rangers PA man and VP of In-Park Entertainment Chuck Morgan (just in case you needed an introduction) stopped by Lone Star Ball to type out a smile-worthy thank you to the fans, a long with some fun anecdotes on the team's history. If you attended a Ballpark in Arlington game this season, that thank you note is for you, so stop by, read, and discuss. Even if you couldn't make a game because you don't have a lot of time off and live in central Florida or something like that, it's still a good read.

Despite drawing 2.5 million fans last season, by the way, the Rangers currently boast the second-largest per-game boost over 2011 (behind the Twins). They sit behind only the Yankees and Phillies in total and per-game attendance on the season.
