2012 U.S. Open Scores: Early In Round 1, Play Suspended

Many of the first matches of the U.S. Open are close to completion, but a torrential downpour has kept many of the matches currently being played under suspension. Only four matches have actually come to completion so far in New York, all of them being Women's Singles matches. The biggest result from those was Lucie Hradecka beating No. 27 ranked Anabel Medina Garrigues by a score of 6-3, 6-3.

Currently, play has been suspended for the other 11 matches that are currently going on, and are unlikely to start unless the rain begins to let up.

For the more big name matches in the first day of play, it's about the time to start watching the tournament assuming the rain lets off some time soon. Specifically, No. 1 overall Roger Federer's match against American Donald Young will be in the second round of matches, as will No. 3 overall Andy Murray's match against Russian Alex Bogomolov Jr..
