The Abilene, Tx. native will have two chances to go for gold in London in the 10-meter platform and synchronized 10-meter platform diving events.
David Boudia, a native of Abilene, Tx., represents the best chance for the U.S. Olympic diving team to medal during the 2012 Olympic games in London.
Boudia will compete in both the 10-meter platform and the synchronized 10-meter platform events during the summer games.
He was the first American male diver to medal at the 2011 FINA World Championships in 20 years after winning silver on the 10-meter platform. Boudia also won a silver medal in the synchronized 10-meter platform in 2009 at the FINA World CHampionships, in 2010 at the AT&T USA Diving Grand Prix and earlier this year at the 2012 FINA World series.
In the synchronized 10-meter platform event in London, Boudia will team up with Nick McRory, a native of Chapel Hill, NC.
