Colby Lewis Could Miss Tuesday's Start Due To Forearm Stiffness

The Texas Rangers pitching staff is looking very thin when they begin a three-game series against the Boston Red Sox on Monday. Starting pitcher Roy Oswalt is already missing his scheduled Monday start due to back stiffness, and now Colby Lewis' Tuesday start is in question as he has forearm stiffness.

Lewis was pulled from his last start on July 18 after only five innings of work due to the injury, and he did not throw at all on Sunday. If Lewis is unable to make the start against the Red Sox on Tuesday then the Rangers will have to dip into their Triple-A affiliate in Round Rock and have Martin Perez make this start.

It is possible that Lewis could land on the disabled list which would put the Rangers starting pitching depth in a pinch if he and Oswalt land on the disabled list at the same time.
