The Texas Rangers used a four-run fifth inning to rally from a 4-2 deficit and give new starting pitcher Scott Feldman his second win of the season in a 7-6 victory.
This particular rally was without the long ball: Texas reached base five straight times without a ball leaving the infield. Leonys Martin led off and earned the first of four walks, then stole second, moved to third on Ian Kinsler's swinging bunt single, and scored on Elvis Andrus' infield single up the middle. After two more walks, including a bases loaded walk to tie the game, David Murphy's RBI single put the Rangers up for good.
Feldman was rocky early, but hung on. After giving up three home runs in the first three innings, he calmed down to hold the A's scoreless over his final two innings.
