The No. 1 seed Baylor Bears were unable to keep up their winning ways as the No. 4 seed Oklahoma Sooners defeated Baylor 7-2 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, thus advanced to the Big 12 Championship Game for the first time since 1997.
Matt Oberste hit two big homeruns for the Sooners as his two-run homer in the second inning and solo home run in the fourth helped secure the victory for OU. Jonathan Gray went 7.2 innings in the win while only allowing two runs while Joey Hainsfurther took the loss after giving up four earned runs in just 3.1 innings.
Oklahoma will face off against the winner of a matchup between Missouri and Kansas in the Big 12 Championship Game Sunday at 1 p.m. Baylor was the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament and will now await their placement in the regionals next week.

Top-seeded Baylor was taking on No. 8 seeded Kansas State for the second time in the Big 12 tournament, and the second time around was just as easy as the first game. Baylor easily defeated Kansas State 11-2 behind the strength of starting pitcher Tyler Bremer who pitched eight innings, allowed seven hits, two runs and struck out three batters.

Top-seeded Baylor fell to No. 4 Oklahoma for the fourth straight game in a close 3-2 game. With that loss, Baylor is now facing elimination on Friday as they take on No.-8 seeded Kansas State.
This is the second time that Baylor has faced Kansas State in the Big 12 tournament, and Baylor easily won, 11-1. This year, Baylor is 4-0 against Kansas State.
The other elimination game features No. 2 Texas A&M taking on No. 7 seeded Kansas in Friday's evening game. Texas A&M has already played Kansas in the opening-round game and won 10-4.
The winners of these games will move onto the semifinals on Saturday.

On the second day of the 2012 Big 12 baseball tournament, Oklahoma and Missouri earned byes to Saturday with respective wins over top seeds Baylor and Texas A&M.
In the first game on the day, No. 8 seed Kansas State upset No. 4 Oklahoma State 11-5. The Wilcats scored three runs before recording their first out and didn't look back. KSU shortstop Jake Brown went 4-for-5 with an RBI.
In the second game, No. 7 seed Kansas eliminated No. 3 seed Texas by a 4-2 score. Kansas scored three runs in the bottom of the first and starter Wes Benjamin gave up just one earned run over six innings as the Jayhawks scored the upset. KU led 4-1 entering the ninth. Texas scored a run and put the game-tying run on, but couldn't make the comeback.
In the third game, No. 4 seed Oklahoma beat No. 1 seed Baylor 3-2 on a walk-off hit in the bottom of the ninth. Evan Mistich singled home the game-winning run. Cody Reine went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored. With the win, Oklahoma earned a bye to Saturday. Baylor will have to play Kansas State on Friday, looking to earn a rematch with Baylor.
In the final game of the day, No. 6 seed Missouri earned a bye with a 5-3 win over No. 2 seed Texas A&M. Missouri pitcher Jeff Emens pitched 3 2/3 scoreless and hitless innings of relief to hold on to the win after Missouri took an early lead. Tiger shortstop Eric Garcia went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Missouri will next play Saturday, while A&M will have to play Kansas on Friday to earn a rematch.

Baylor took game one in the Big 12 tournament by defeating Kansas State 11-1 in only seven innings of play. Now, Baylor moves on and will face No. 4 seeded Oklahoma, and the Sooners snuck Oklahoma State 1-0.
Oklahoma is a tough matchup for Baylor as they lost all three games against Oklahoma. The two played just two weeks ago where Oklahoma snuck past Baylor 1-0, 2-1 and only the final game was not close which was 12-6.
No. 3 seeded Texas fell 5-0 to No. 6 seeded Missouri in their opening round game and now they have No. 7 seeded Kansas in an elimination game.

The top-seeded Baylor Bears started off the Big 12 tournament in style on Wednesday, with an 11-1 win over the Kansas State Wildcats.

Baylor got out to a quick start by scoring two runs in each of the first two innings to race out to a 4-0 lead. After six innings Baylor extended their lead to 6-0, but Kansas State made a mini-run by scoring a pair of runs to make it a 6-2 game.
Baylor immediately responded to score four runs in the top of the seventh and put the game away by leading 10-2 after eight innings. Second baseman Lawton Langford led the way on offense for Baylor by going 1-for-4, scoring two runs, two RBI and also walking twice.
