Tiger Woods is at par through five holes at the 2012 Players Championship, and is tied for 38th at 2-under for the tournament. Phil Mickelson has slipped down to 2-over through his first five holes and has fallen into a tie for 52nd overall as he's even at Sawgrass.
Tiger, Phil and everyone who made the cut after two days at Ponte Vedra Beach are chasing the three-headed hydra of Matt Kuchar, Kevin Na and Zach Johnson who are all tied for the lead at 8-under for the tournament. Kuchar and Harris English, in fourth place at 7-under, will tee off at 2:24pm Eastern. Na and Johnson will tee off at 2:35pm Eastern.
The greens have been playing extremely fast in the warm air of northern Florida, and two-putts are aplenty for golfers in the third-round.

Dallas native Hunter Mahan has missed the cut at the 2012 Players Championship after shooting a 4-over par score of 76 in the second round of the tournament. Mahan finished with an overall score of 6-over par, and with the cut line at even par he will be unable to compete in the final two rounds.
Going into the third round it is a crowded leaderboard, with Zach Johnson, Matt Kuchar, and Kevin Na all tied at 8-under par. Tiger Woods made a mad dash late to secure his spot for the weekend, finishing at 2-under par.
Mahan isn't the only notable player who didn't make the cut. The world's No. 1-ranked player Rory Mcllroy, shot a 76 in the second round and was 4-over par for the tournament.
Dallas resident and former Texas Longhorns golfer Harrison Frazar barely made the cut, finishing at even par after his second round score of 76. He is currently is tied for 56th place.

Dallas resident Hunter Mahan is projected to miss the cut at the 2012 Players Championship after posting a 1-over par score in the first round of the tournament on Thursday, but so far, the Oklahoma State graduate is 1-under for the day as he make his push toward contention.
Mahan is tied at 78th, along with 15 other players, which include the likes of Tiger Woods, Vijay Singh and Sergio Garcia. Needless to point out, many good golfers are not doing so hot in the TPC.
Dallas native and former Texas Longhorns golfer Harrison Frazar is tied for 30th place with a 2-under par score, but he is shooting only 2-over par through six holes in the second round. Frazar is tied with the likes of Phil Mickelson and Jim Furyk.
For all the latest coverage on Mahan, Frazar and The Player's Championship, stay tuned to SB Nation Dallas as well as The Waggle Room.
