On the same day that sources are reporting the Baylor men's basketball program may face NCAA sanctions, sophomore forward Perry Jones III declares for the NBA Draft.

After putting together a stellar sophomore season and helping the Baylor Bears men's basketball program make the Elite 8, forward Perry Jones III has decided to forgo his collegiate playing days and enter the 2012 NBA Draft. The news was reported Monday via Twitter by ESPN.com's Andy Katz, who cited Baylor head coach Scott Drew as the source.

In his sophomore season, Jones III (6-foot-11, 235 pounds) averaged 14.0 points per game and 7.4 rebounds per game. In Baylor's Elite 8 loss to the eventual National Champions, the Kentucky Wildcats, Jones III tallied 17 points and collected eight rebounds.
