CBS Sports is reporting that Rick Majerus won't be the next head basketball coach at SMU, opting instead to stay at St. Louis University:
Rick Majerus has spurned SMU, sources told CBSSports -- and will remain at Saint Louis.

Majerus just completed his fifth year at SLU, where he's revived the program - the Billikens made the NCAA Tournament this season and upset Memphis to make it to the second round, finishing with a 26-8 record. St. Louis will return its entire team minus one starter next season.
SMU will continue its search after firing Matt Doherty as it transitions to the Big East Conference. The Mustangs have made several offers that have been turned down, most notably Marquette's Buzz Williams, a Texas native, as well as Harvard's Tommy Amaker.
