NCAA Women's Tournament Bracket 2012: Baylor Earns Top Seed

Not surprisingly, the Baylor Lady Bears earned the top seed in the 2012 NCAA Women's Tournament after completing the regular season undefeated with a 34-0 record. Other schools earning No. 1 seeds include UConn, Notre Dame and Stanford.

Big West Tournament champ UC Santa Barbara is the lucky recipient of a matchup with Baylor in the first round of the tournament. The Gauchos finished with a 17-15 record and 8-8 in the Big West before storming through the conference tournament. UC Santa Barbara defeated Long Beach State in the Big West Finals 63-54.

The Texas Longhorns earn a No. 9 seed with a 18-13 regular season record Nd will take on No. 8 seed West Virginia in the first round. Texas lost in the first round of the Big 12 tournament to Texas Tech 81-58. West Virginia went 23-9 in the Big East and lost in the conference semifinals to Notre Dame.
