There's no rest for the weary on the recruiting trail.

Just two days after wrapping up the nation's consensus No. 2 rated class in 2012, Mack Brown and the Texas Longhorns coaching staff have already moved on to the 2013 recruiting cycle.

On Friday, Jake Raulerson a 6-foot-4 250-pound offensive and defensive lineman from Celina,Texas became the Longhorn's first verbal commitment of 2013.

While the national recruiting services are still assigning grades to most of the 2013 prospects, Raulerson already has some impressive credentials. He is a top 150 prospect nationally according to ESPN and a four-star recruit according to Scout.com, he has already received an invitation to play in the 2013 Under Armour All-American Game.

After receiving offers from more than 25 major programs, he narrowed his choices to Texas and Stanford before deciding to become a Longhorn on Friday. Texas has been in on Raulerson since their 2011 summer camp when the rising sophomore was the most dominant player on the offensive and defensive line.

The Longhorns coaching staff expect to play him at either tight end or defensive end at the next level.
