Matthew Emmons-US PRESSWIRE
The Dallas Cowboys have 13 players on the official injury report on Monday, just three days before a crucial NFC East matchup against the Washington Redskins.
The Dallas Cowboys may have narrowly earned an overtime victory over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, yet the cost for the win over the 2-8 team may be steep.
13 Dallas Cowboys players showed up on the official injury report Monday in preparation for Thursday's game against the Washington Redskins. The two biggest names, left tackle Tyron Smith and running back DeMarco Murray, are unlikely to play after officially missing Monday's practice.
Murray (foot) has now missed five straight games with his injury and would likely return on Dec. 2 against Philadelphia. Smith suffered what has been called a high ankle sprain, yet it is not considered serious. High ankle sprains usually mean 4-6 weeks before the player is ready to return to the field.
Here is the full injury report for Monday's practice:
Full Participation:
TE John Phillips (ankle)
Limited Participation:
CB Mike Jenkins (back), RB Felix Jones (knee), S Danny McCray (hip), FB Lawrence Vickers (FB)
Did Not Participate:
C Ryan Cook (knee), C Phil Costa (ankle), DE Sean Lissemore (ankle), RB DeMarco Murray (foot), WR Kevin Ogletree (concussion), S Charlie Peprah (concussion), NT Jay Ratliff (groin), LT Tyron Smith (ankle)
