Alabama is still No. 1, but after a 31-point win over Texas Tech, the Kansas State Wildcats moved up to No. 2 in the latest BCS standings.

The Kansas State Wildcats were the big winners in this week's BCS standings, moving up to No. 2 and a prime position to earn a berth in the BCS Championship Game.

The No. 2 ranking is the highest-ever for Kansas State in the BCS era. The Wildcats improved from a No. 3 ranking last week thanks to a 55-24 win over Texas Tech and a Florida loss at the hands of Georgia. KSU leads six Big 12 teams in this week's standings. No. 12 Oklahoma, No. 18 Texas Tech, No. 21 West Virginia, No. 23 Texas and No. 24 Oklahoma State also made the cut.

Alabama holds the top spot for the third straight week. The Crimson Tide are ranked No. 1 in both human polls, but the computer average ranks Nick Saban's team No. 3. Alabama is coming off a 38-7 win over previously unbeaten Mississippi State. The SEC had seven teams ranked this week, including five in the top 10. In addition to Alabama, No. 5 LSU, No. 6 Georgia, No. 7 Florida, No. 8 South Carolina, No. 15 Mississippi State and No. 16 Texas A&M checked into the standings.

Two more undefeated teams, No. 3 Notre Dame and No. 4 Oregon, also cracked the top five. Florida State and Louisville round out the top 10.
