A rough loss to Oklahoma sent Texas out of the top 25 while Texas Tech, Texas A&M and TCU all move into the rankings with Week 8 wins.
TCU scored 21 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to top Baylor, moving the Frogs to No. 21 in the USA Today Coaches' poll.
Sunday wasn't so good for Texas, though. After taking a 63-21 thrashing at the hands of rival Oklahoma, Texas fell from 15 to out of the top 25 Sunday.
Texas A&M took a 59-57 win over Louisiana Tech to land at the No. 19 spot. Texas Tech's dominant performance in its 49-14 win over West Virginia pushed them to No. 20. The Mountaineers fell from No. 5 to No. 15.
Alabama scored all 59 first-place votes to keep the top spot, ahead of No. 2 Oregon and new No. 3 Kansas State. Florida moved to No. 4 with a win over Vanderbilt, and Notre Dame's overtime win over Stanford moved them into the top five.
No. 6 LSU set up its matchup with Texas A&M in Week 9 by defeating No. 3 South Carolina, which dropped the Gamecocks to No. 8. Oklahoma moved to No. 7 with USC and Florida State rounding out the top 10.
