The Mavs were red hot in the first half as they hit more than 63 percent of their shots. Vince Carter hit three three-pointers in the first half for nine points and Shawn Marion finished with eight.
Rookie point guard Brandon Knight leads the Pistons with nine points at the intermission. Will Bynum chipped in eight points off the bench while Ben Gordon added seven for Detroit. Dallas held the Pistons to just 36 percent shooting and forced the Pistons into 10 turnovers.
