Via Tim McMahon on ESPN Dallas (via his weekly interview on 105.3), Jerry Jones said Tuesday:↵
I really feel like Buehler is quite a weapon for us. He can and will with that strong leg that was the reason we drafted him put that ball in and through the end zone on kickoffs. That's a big deal. That will give us field position. You start them on the 20 every time and that's a tremendous advantage. Now, other teams are going to be doing the same thing, but we've got a strong-legged kicker that will get it.↵
Not only does Jones refute his own point, as McMahon points out, the Cowboys are the only team that will have to use two active (45-man) roster spots to get those deep kick-offs, as well as the hope for consistent field goal kicking. That doesn't so much feel like a "weapon" as a liability, but maybe Buehler will be more effective at it than others.
