While the winner of the 2011 Heisman Trophy won't be announced until Saturday, if the odds makers in Las Vegas are correct, Baylor's Robert Griffin III should win the award going away.

The line has moved several times in the last week, and now Griffin is an overwhelming 1/7 favorite to win the award, meaning a better has to wager $7.00 on Griffin to win to get $1.00 back.

In contrast, the other two front-runners, Stanford QB Andrew Luck and Alabama RB Trent Richardson, are getting 11/4 and 11/2 odds respectively, despite receiving more publicity than Griffin for most of the season.

The odds makers don't consider either Wisconsin RB Montee Ball or LSU CB Tyrann Mathieu as serious contenders for the award, as Ball is getting 50/1 odds while Mathieu is all the way back at 100/1.

With many prominent national sports writers already revealing that they voted for Griffin, Saturday's Heisman Trophy presentation is beginning to look like a formality.
