2011 Poinsettia Bowl Final Score: TCU Runs Over La. Tech 31-24

TCU's high powered offense looked disinterested for most of the start of the Poinsettia Bowl but bounced back to win 31-24 after not scoring a touchdown until under two minutes remaining the first half.

Casey Pachall was 15 of 29 passing for 206 yards, one touchdown and one interception, and the combination of running backs Ed Wesley (73 yards, one touchdown) and Waymon James (55 yards) helped the Horned Frogs find 390 yards of total offense, most of it coming after halftime.

Louisiana Tech's Colby Cameron threw for 264 yards, one pick and two touchdowns, including a 61-yarder, but the Bulldogs were unable to tie the game late in the fourth after both teams had traded the lead in three separate 14-point swings. The Bulldogs punted the ball away with 3:33 remaining in the fourth down by seven, and never saw possession again.

The game caps an 11-win season for the Horned Frogs, the fourth consecutive season of at least 11 wins for the program. Under Gary Patterson the Frogs 109-30 since 2000, and will move to the BCS affiliated Big 12 next season.
