2011 Poinsettia Bowl: Special Teams Turnover Helps Louisiana Tech Tie Game At 17

Stay connected for news and updates

Louisiana Tech lost all of its momentum - and their 10-3 lead over TCU - in the Poinsettia Bowl before a Horned Frogs miscue gave the Bulldogs new life in the third quarter. After 14 unanswered points by the Horned Frogs, Louisiana Tech punted away after an 11-yard drive stalled, but TCU's Brandon Carter would muff the return and La. Tech would recover at the Horned Frog 12-yard-line.

Three plays later Hunter Lee would power his way to a touchdown on a two-yard run. The Bulldogs have 297 yards of total offense with a quarter and a half remaining.

All three turnovers in the game - a fumble and interception by La. Tech and a fumble by TCU - have resulted in scoring drives for a total of 17 points.
