2011 Poinsettia Bowl: TCU Offense Wakes Up, Leads La. Tech 17-10

Stay connected for news and updates

TCU took the ball with 1:21 remaining in the second quarter on a La. Tech interception and hasn't looked back, scoring 14 points in two drives, their second touchdown coming on a breezy Matthew Tucker touchdown run after a 55-yard drive that took 5:06 off the clock to open the second half and help the Horned Frogs set a new tone in an otherwise defensively minded ballgame.

The biggest difference for TCU has been effective running - on their drive to their third quarter touchdown (TCU's first scoring drive that didn't start with a Bulldog turnover), the Horned Frogs' diamond formation yielded runs of 19, seven and six yards after a lackluster ground game in the first half.
