TCU Vs. Louisiana Tech, 2011 Poinsettia Bowl: Bulldogs Strike First, Lead 3-0

Stay connected for news and updates

Those nice boys at Louisiana Tech might have been lauded for their acts of charity off the field but overshadowed by the alleged sleight the BCS showed TCU. The Bulldogs of Ruston have held the Horned Frogs scoreless halfway through the first quarter.

La. Tech created a lead with a Matt Nelson field goal from 23 yards out to cap a 67-yard, 12 play drive after both teams traded quick, scoreless drives early. So far the TCU ground game has yet to take hold, The Horned Frogs only have two first downs, one by virtue of a Bulldog offsides penalty, and have now punted on both of their drives.
