The decision to go with three rookie safeties worked out in the end for the Cowboys, as rookie corner Bryan McCann will join their practice squad after the Baltimore Ravens waived him earlier this week. McCann gives the Cowboys viable depth in case of injuries to their cover players. Corner Teddy Williams is on the practice squad, but McCann is a much more polished player.

Dallas must release a member of the practice squad to clear room for McCann.
