Rangers fans watching the first place team take on the Royals in Kansas City tonight will have quite the welcome sight - Nelson Cruz is active and will bat fifth. The team could have used him over the weekend in Arlington as it faced three tough left-handed pitchers, but the lead is still 7.5 games and there is still a month to play.
To make room for Cruz, the team sent down outfielder Brandon Boggs, who should return in September.
