The Stars have agreed to a new contract with a second role player, Francis Wathier, for two years. Wathier’s deal is two-way, meaning that he will receive different pay rates while on the Stars’ big league and minor league rosters.
Dallas announced Wathier’s deal with Krys Barch’s on Wednesday.

Mike Heika reports that the Dallas Stars have come to an agreement with fourth line winger Krys Barch on a two-year extension worth $1.675 million:
The deal will pay Barch $825,000 next season and $850,000 in 2011-12. He made $575,000 last season. Barch could have become an unrestricted free agent Thursday.
Defending Big D discussed the possibility earlier today:
If he is indeed extended, it's just further evidence that this roster is going to be brought back very nearly in it's entirety for another uphill 82 game climb.
