SunSentinal.com reports that Dwayne Wade hopes to recruit other stars to join him in Miami, but if that fails, he does have a backup plan:
However that same source, as well as a party inside the league, told the Sun Sentinel that Wade also plans to cover himself during the initial days of the free-agency negotiating period by scheduling interviews with the New York Knicks, Chicago Bulls, and, in somewhat of a surprise, the Dallas Mavericks.
Dallas is the only one of the three teams that would have to involve a sign-and-trade to acquire Wade, but the trade route may be viable, and, as DallasBasketball.com says, Dallas has a nice complement for star perimeter player in Dirk Nowitzki.
